The 2021 National Peanut Festival

The 2021 National Peanut Festival is gearing up to go nuts for 10 days with concerts, rides, exhibits, a parade, fair food and, of course, peanuts! Head to the Peanut Capital of the World for this year’s festival November 5th-14th.

What’s Happening

The 2021 National Peanut Festival is like a jar of crunchy peanut butter—packed with extra everything! In fact, for many surrounding areas, the fun is underway. Throughout early October, various pageants are held crowning Little Miss National Peanut and Miss National Peanut 2021.

Additionally, local bakers have the chance to get nutty in the kitchen and show off their best peanut-product recipes! The annual Recipe Contest will be held October 28th at the NPF Volunteer Building, Entries will be accepted from 8 to 10 a.m.

Overall, the rules are simple. The entry must include peanuts, peanut butter, peanut oil or some other peanut product. For the nitty-gritty details, click here. There is also a “Nuttin’ But Fun 2021”-themed Cake & Cookie Decorating Contest at the Premium Building. Entries will be accepted from 9 to 10 a.m. with the awards ceremony joining the Recipe Contest entries at the Volunteer Building for the 1 p.m. awards ceremony.

Concert Details

There will be live music at both the AllMetal Amphitheater @ Fairgrounds and the Food Court Stage @ Fairgrounds, which features more local talent. Food Court Stage shows will be from 8 to 10 p.m. starting with the Az Izz Band November 5th.

The AllMetal Amphitheater concerts will rock with Randy Houser Saturday, November 6th; Gabby Barrett Sunday November 7th; and Parmalee Wednesday, November 9th. All shows start at 7 p.m.

Did we mention amphitheater concerts are free with paid gate admission? To specify, the complimentary area is about 75 feet from the stage.

Of course, for $20, music lovers can upgrade to the Reserved Bench Seating section closest to the stage. There is also General Admission Folding Chair Seating right behind the reserved seats for $10.

Location and Tickets

The 2021 National Peanut Festival advanced tickets are on sale now! In fact, the MegaPass sale—which is good for one day’s admission and an unlimited ride armband for the day—ends November 4th. Plus, you can add any reserved seating or general admission concert tickets to your purchase too!

Technically, the address for the National Peanut Festival is 5622 US Highway 231 South in Dothan. Locally, folks would tell you to go three miles south of Ross Clark Circle at the Flying J Truck Stop on Highway 231.
