In the News: Infrastructure Improvements at Napier Field Industrial Park

infrastructure improvements at Napier Field Industrial Park

Work may soon begin on infrastructure improvements at Napier Field Industrial Park in the Dothan area thanks to additional funding from the Growing Alabama program. Funds from the City of Dothan Commission and the Houston County Commission have also made the project possible.

About Dothan’s funding

The City of Dothan’s Industrial Development Board was awarded a $1 million grant by Alabama legislators from the Growing Alabama Tax Credit earlier this month, according to reports. The funds for infrastructure improvements at Napier Field Industrial Park are designated for several projects.

For starters, Napier Field Industrial Park will get a new entrance road along with new turn lanes. Work at the site also includes improvements to water and sewer lines along with drainage upgrades.

Construction on the infrastructure improvements at Napier Field Industrial Park could begin any day now. Reports stated work is expected to begin at the 87-acre park sometime in the third quarter of 2023, meaning any time between July 1st and September 30th.

More about Growing Alabama

The Growing Alabama program, part of the Alabama Department of Commerce: Made in Alabama, is on a mission. Created to speed up the development of industry-ready sites in Alabama, investing in improvements at the Napier Field Industrial Park demonstrates exactly that.

Focusing on existing industrial sites that may need a little something extra to reach their full potential is one way the statewide program is “stimulating economic growth.” To learn more about Made in Alabama, Growing Alabama and other incentives, visit madeinalabama.com.
