About the Houston County Farm Center

The Houston County Farm Center building has been around since the 1950s. Currently, the building is being used to store sheriff’s vehicles. But with the big renovation plans, county commissioners plan for the building to be able to host events.

Such events would include, but are not limited to, wedding receptions, concerts and even the farmers market, which has been looking to relocate to a permanent location.

The Houston County Farm Center features more than eight buildings on the property. This includes six livestock barns, two exhibit buildings and a full-hookup RV site.

Exhibit building one is 5,546 square feet and currently has seating for 300 people, a large parking area, is air conditioned and heated, and has a commercial kitchen. Building two is a large, open-spaced 14,244-square-foot building.
