Coming Up: Dothan’s 2023 Mardi Gras Parade

Dothan's 2023 Mardi Gras Parade

Break out the purple, green and gold boas. Put on your Mardi Gras mask and get ready to let the good times roll during Dothan’s 2023 Mardi Gras Parade on Saturday, February 18th, at 3:30 p.m.

The Krewe of Kolosse Mardi Gras Parade

Dothan’s 2023 Mardi Gras Parade is bringing all the excitement the Wiregrass has come to expect for this annual event! Each year, the parade is made possible through the efforts of the Krewe of Kolosse.

There will be beads, beads and more beads. Along with music, live entertainment, candy, Moon Pies, food and more fun than you can imagine.

What started with just five floats and two antique cars in 2014 has continually grown in the years since. Now, there will be more than 40 floats rolling through downtown Dothan.

That includes additional Mardi Gras krewes, groups and organizations that have all gotten on board to help make the city’s one and only Mardi Gras parade the “happiest day in Dothan!”

Can’t wait to find out what some of the floats will be or who’s behind them? Check out the listing here.

What’s new?

New to Dothan’s 2023 Mardi Gras Parade is the optional kick-off. Not in the mood to wait for the 3:30 festivities? Get a head start at 1 p.m. by stopping by one of four entertainment points along the parade route.

Find your Mardi Gras spirit with more food, more fun and more entertainment before the grand finale, a.k.a. the Mardi Gras parade.

You can also opt for the VIP treatment this year. With the VIP Experience, parade-goers will have an exclusive viewing area next to KBC. But that’s not all.

They will enjoy delicious Mardi Gras-themed food provided by KBC. They will have access to a VIP cash bar and VIP bathroom. Not to mention the collectible Mardi Gras 2023 badge and lanyard.

Dothan’s 2023 Mardi Gras Parade goes through the Garden District, around Solomon Park and to downtown.

With the 3 p.m. start time, it gives revelers the chance to enjoy both a daytime and evening parade, as it ends after sunset on Foster Street. Now is the time to follow the Krewe of Kolosse on Facebook for the latest announcements.
